About Us
Our mission is to help women become the fullest versions of themselves.
We believe that an individual’s way forward becomes clearer and easier when they know, and harness, their unique strengths. This is at the heart of our leadership development programmes and coaching.
Founded in 2004 by Gill Avery and Moira Siddons, Consulting Women brings decades of leadership and coaching experience to every interaction.
Our work is underpinned by more than 30 years of research and development, building on pioneering leadership research undertaken by Gill and Mike Avery in the decade prior to our founding.

For more than two decades, we have delivered our open Next Level programme as well as running in house leadership programmes for trusted clients, deeply integrating into their core development, pathways for their women.

Our approaches are now built into the recruitment and managerial processes of some of our core clients.
We have contributed to the design and delivery of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) flagship Women in Leadership programme and to the University of Westminster’s Women for the Board programme.

Gill Avery MBA

Gill also co-founded Consulting People Limited (CPL), a consultancy which helps organisations achieve sustainable culture change through implementing strategic projects. She evolved CPL’s core methodologies including: the Business Transformation Cycle which facilitates deep change in individuals, teams (Team Dynamics), organisation culture (Double Loop Learning) and business process.

Isobel Vernon-Avery
Isobel completed Next Level in 2014 with Gill and Moira, before embarking in her career as a Strategy Consultant. Consulting on systemic challenges (such as circular economy in the built environment), she really enjoys supporting individuals in bringing forward their strengths to enable collective action.
She has supported several team development processes and has board experience as part of the next generation of leaders in STEM industries. On a personal level (being Gill’s daughter!), she grew up in and around Next Level and Strengths, and has a deep understanding of how Next Level, and how this inner work can support both personal and professional growth and resilience.
